Being a woman with little to no car knowledge can sometimes make the auto shop experience a bit intimidating and  sketchy but this place has been completely honest and authentic with what they do and why they do it. I had a punch list after a recent rebuild of engine and front suspension and the attention to detail was even greater than my own. They keep my car running well while providing a more affordable service option than the local dealership. I've had them change out my brakes and suspension as well as put on a muffler. They also kept me updated and explained the repair services so I had a better understanding of what was required. They are auto repair experts and I trust them to tell me what needs to be done and what will need to be done in the future. The shop is clean and their mechanics are always hard at work in the back ( I see them as I walk into the shop). I continue to come back year after year and refer friends and neighbors. Engine Control Units (ECUs), also known as Engine Control Modules (ECMs), can be repaired more economically than replaced. The engine control computer receives information from sensors and switches that convert engine operating conditions into electrical signals. Based on the information and instructions stored in the computer program, commands are then sent to three primary systems:

Engine Maintenance Guide

Taking good care of your car will make it last longer. Every time you start and run your vehicle, you are causing wear and tear to various parts of the engine, but most engine problems can be prevented with simple maintenance procedures.

Here are ten tips for your auto maintenance:

Change the oil – If you do just one thing for your engine, it had better be changing the oil. It’s the most important element in the performance of your car. The oil and filter should be changed every 3,000 to 6,000 miles, but check your auto manual for the specifics of your vehicle. You should also periodically check the oil level.
Clean the engine – The visual appearance of the engine is a good indicator of its condition. When your engine gets too dirty and greasy, it affects the efficiency and performance of its parts. An oil and dirt-covered engine will hold in too much heat and not allow the heat to dissipate. The easiest way to clean the engine is to use a commercial degreaser. Spray it on the cool engine, sit for two or three minutes, and rinse clean.
Replace The Air Filter – It is necessary to replace the air filter when it becomes dirty. Paper filters can’t be cleaned and, therefore, must be replaced.
Use Original Parts – To ensure a proper fit, replace engine parts only with reliable sources. A wrongly fitted part can damage your engine in just a few minutes.
Use Clean Fuel – If you store a weekend cruiser for the winter, fill the tank and add a fuel stabilizer so the gas doesn’t go stale, and condensation doesn’t form. Use only premium fuel if your vehicle is supercharged.
Change The Belts – Vehicles usually have serpentine belts for pumps and accessories and timing belts for the engine itself. Over time, the belts will need to be replaced due to wear and tear. Please don’t wait until they break to replace them, or you could risk further damage. Check with your owner’s manual for scheduled belt replacement, and have our Technicians check your belts regularly.
Check The Battery – Your car battery will only last for a while. Your owner’s manual should indicate when you should have it replaced. Keep the battery casing clean and check for bulging, cracks, or corrosion which may indicate that the battery needs replacing. Please remove the battery during winter storage and charge it periodically.
Check Fluids – Keeping your engine’s fluid levels topped off to maintain health is important. Fluids such as engine coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid, and windshield washer fluid fall into this category.
Replace Spark Plugs – Changing the spark plugs is a simple task that can improve the performance of your engine and prevent costly repairs down the road.
Fix Small Problems – If you hear strange engine noises or your “check engine” light comes on, bring your vehicle into our service center for examining your car by one of our ASE Certified Technicians. You should have any small problems fixed immediately before they can cause damage to your engine.
